Leak detection systems are used industrially, to determine where a leak has occurred in systems which contain liquids and gases. The primary purpose of leak detection systems (LDS) is to help pipeline controllers to detect and localize leaks. They enhance productivity and system reliability as well.

Pipeline LDS

Petrovision International offers Leak Detection Systems (LDS) with Fiber Optic Sensing from the well-established manufacturers. Fiber Optic Sensing system is a major breakthrough in the sensor technology of recent times. The unique design means that it is possible to monitor up to 80 kilometers (50 miles) of fiber with a single system that detects Temperature, Vibration and Strain simultaneously. This allows clients to take real time measurements of long assets such as conveyers and pipelines. Any changes occurring to the asset can be monitored through the fiber optic cable secured to it.

The sensing is distributed along the fiber; hence the entire cable is able to sense interferences to the application.

The Fiber Optic Sensing system can be configured to recognize the following:

• Sound, Acoustics and Vibration: It acts as a hyper sensitive microphone at every point in the fiber heeding for possible problems.
• Temperature: It also acts as a thermometer, heat detector or a thermocouple at every point along the fiber.
• Strain: Even the minute changes in stress and strain in the application can be apprehended by the fiber, predicting faults and failures even before they have a possibility to arise.

The system is able to monitor any linear asset, examples include:

Ideal for areas such as data centers, trading floors, semi-conductor plants etc.	It ensures an immediate detection and precise location of leak. Capable of monitoring up to 120 lengths of sense cables on its 3 independent outputs. Suitable for use in IT infrastructure, commercial & residential purposes and also industrial applications.	It is cost effective, accurate and easy to install & to use. Can control up to 100 meters of water or acid sense cable per zone. It is ideal for use in medium and large applications where accurate location of leak is required.	Accurate and easy to install and to use. Four detection zones are available on this small unit. It can control up to 45 meters of water or acid sense cable per zone. Ideal for small and medium applications.

Detects and pin-point locates water leak & base liquid leak at any point along the cable Its non-absorbent design enables it to be reused after leaks, reducing the maintenance costs.	It has a spliced junction with a length of 3.5 meters of jumper cable and an end termination. It detects the presence of water and base liquids at any point along its length.	Compatible with Digital & Analog Systems. The Sense Cable FG-ECX is available Pre-connected in Standard Lengths, complete with connectors.	Specially designed for pipes solution and is supplied with an external polyethylene based braided jacket. Detects and localizes cable break on the cable. Easy installation with pre-finished male and female connectors.

WATER POINT SENSOR

FG-ECP
Point Sensor for water leak detection which is designed to be used with TTK Digital Units FG-SYS or FG-NET. In the event of liquid leak or cable break, an audible alarm is triggered and a relay is activated. The location of the leak and details of the fault are displayed on the screen.

ACID SENSE CABLES

Detects and pin-point locates acid leak at any point along the cable. Made in corrosion and abrasion resistant cable. Typical applications are laboratories, fab plants, cleanrooms etc.	FG-ACS sense cable has a spliced junction with a length of 3.5 meters of jumper cable and an end termination. Detects the presence of acid and corrosive chemical liquids at any point along its length	Detects and locates acid leaks to the nearest meter when connected to the locating unit. Compatible with Analog Systems and is available in standard, pre-finished lengths of 3, 7 or 15 meters with connectors.
